This church is noted for its exceptional double hammerbeam timber roof which contains 120 carved angels. It is regarded by architectural historians as probably the finest of all such East Anglian timber roofs. Especially notable are angels holding the whole range of Medieval musical instruments.

A general collection of artefacts relating to social history, agricultural tools, many local photographs and 19thC record material, a restored blacksmith's forge and a fen cottage.

A 4.5-acre, newly-created wood in the middle of arable fenland containing an increasingly important arboretum. There are sculptures and a miniature railway in the wood.

Ouse Washes

The Ouse Washes is a Site of Specific Scientific Interest. It is an important wetland site and 455 acres are managed by the Wildlife Trust. The washes are a 0.5-mile strip of permanent grassland lying between parallel banks of the old and new Bedford rivers. The rivers were cut in the 17thC as part of the Fenland drainage scheme, with washes as floodwater storage area. This is a prime bird-watching site.
